The best we can do is appreciate their legacy.
For some of us, the pain of loss is crippling... I can attest to this (when Monty Oum passed away in 2015-- it was like the gears in my head stopped moving for nearly a month).
I take solace in the works left behind, in the inspiration left for future generations.
I take solace, but the pain still remains, at least for now. I know it will fade as time goes on.
What will remain is gratitude.
