Made in Abyss is awesome

Talk whatever you want how much you are disturbed by the childrens characters dying in the most brutal way or the "weird fetishes" being shown in the anime, but the oscar of anime awards was pretty deserved because Made in Abyss had the most beautiful message no matter how grotesque it was since of course art doesn't needs to always please the viewer but can be uncomfortable, grotesque and shocking, and MIA explores perfectly the philosophy of "more deeper you go down more the rabbit hole of human nature is dark and disturbing" and especially the society where sexism is pretty normalized around the world including in countries where there are restrictions of gender rights for women but are seen to be forced at being maturing since at very young age to become a mother for future generations. This happened with Irumyuui, a child who was forced to mature and be a mother living in a society where if a girl is able to give birth they are seen as hope, but in case of Irumyuui who was infertile and if her society see the girl is not able to give birth they are demonized and judged.

Christ, this anime made me swallow vibes of Handmaid's Tale treatment especially how Irumyuui's babies has the appearance of bunnies since she was a child herself and very young to understand where babies ACTUALLY come from, her scream was absolutely heartbreaking for the fact she would consider herself hopeless for the society and suffers with grief, a perfect message and metaphor of child pregnancy where there are countries you are forced to mature with a such young age where you're still not ready to enter on adult's life but in the view of society and laws you are obligated to be responsible of another child.
